Asghar wants

3 administrative

units in all

provinces

KARACHI: The chief of Tehreek-e-Istiqlal Air Marshal (Rtd) Asghar Khan has strongly denied he ever talked of division of Sindh or any other province but emphatically said he had suggested creation of three administrative units in Sindh, Punjab, Frontier and Balochistan.

Addressing the provincial members of his party, Asghar Khan said if the people of all four rovinces welcomed his suggestion, "all ethnic, parochial, provincial feelings and sectarian evils could be eliminated and social economic and political problems confronted by the people, solved in an amicable manner.

He said if the mid-term elections were held, he apprehended the same elements having huge "black money would get themselves elected again".

He said in the present assemblies "majority of the members belong to drug mafia, smugglers, jagirdars, capitalists, waderas and those having black money". In such a state of affairs, the politicians and workers belonging to middle, poor and suppressed classes could not think of getting themselves elected, he added.

Asghar Khan termed the performance of assemblies as poor and deplored that it is working as stock exchange, where every member is after making money."

He also regretted that the people of Sindh and Karachi crying for help, against state sponsored atrocities," are heard by the people of other parts of the country thre rulers he added on the other were busy in making money through licence, plot and permit," he charged.-PPI
