Apartments allotted

to 38 journalists

ISLAMABAD: People's Media Foundation on Wednesday allotted apartments to 38 journalists to be built at the National Press Club complex here.

Announcing this at the allotment ceremony, Justice Ahmad Saeed Awan, Vice-Chairperson said that allotment has been made strictly in accordance with a formula keeping in view experience, age, salary of the applicant.

Only those journalists were eligible for allotment who had neither been allotted a plot nor owned a house in the country.

He said that allotment of six more applicants will also be made in due course of time. He said that the terms and conditions and payment schedule of the apartment are as follows:-

Announcing the names of allottee, Bashir Riaz, Chief Executive, People's Media Foundation said that Salma Khatoon, widow of Ahmed Dawood has been given apartment free of cost.
