The Assistant Commissioner Income Tax Zone-C Syed Ahtar-ul-Islam addressing a meeting of clearing and forwarding agents in Karachi urged them to take maximum benefits of the broadbased Self Assessment Scheme introduced by the Government.

Answering questions about changes in the new Return Form he said there were no changes in the proforma except that some additional information about expenditure on foreign travels, details of Rs 500 per month school fee and expenses on mobile phones have been sought.

This is necessary to widen the tax base which has been demanded by the tax payers association for a long time.
