FAISALABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar is likely to lead the Pakistan delegation to Cairo to participate in the second private sector meeting for the promotion of trade and joint venture investment among Islamic countries, which will be held in Cario from September 30 October 2, 1995.

According to an official source, Mian Habibullah, Minister of State and EPB Chairman and FPCCI, President S.M. Muneer will also be members of the delegation.

According to an EPB source, the meeting will provide an opportunity to the private sector companies to get acquainted with one another and discuss the fields of co-operation for trade diversion and promotion.

The meeting will also facilitate establishment of joint ventures with the potential joint venture partners and Islamic financial institutions. It will also provide the opportunities to the participants to discuss the areas of collaboration with the potential partners from more developed and developing Islamic countries, Unido, Islamic Development Bank and other Islamic financial institutions.

A sectoral trade fair/exhibition on textile and ready-made garments will also be held concurrently with the meeting, the source said.
