KARACHI: The Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) from the very beginning of current year has launched an aggressive recovery campaign in order to recover 100 percent of its due loans from influential and chronic defaulters. The bank has fixed targets on monthly, quarterly, half yeary and yearly basis for each MCO, Branch Manager, the Regional Manager to be achieved at all cost.

As a pilot project the ADBP has also decided to set up 2 depots in each of its regions for supply of high quality seed and fertilizer to small farmers,he further disclosed.

This year the Bank will provide 75 percent of tis loans to small farmers under Kisan Banking and only 25 percent loans would be made available to big landlords under General Banking, he announced. No reappropriation of funds meant for small farmers will be allowed. For this purpose the Bank has bifurcated its credit division into Kisan Banking and General Banking, he informed.
