Govt taking steps to check corruption

LAHORE: The present government is taking effective measures to root out corruption from the public sector.

This was stated by Secretary Auqaf Punjab Ashfaq Bhukhari, while presiding over a meeting of officers of the department at Aiwan-e-Auqaf on Monday.

He directed the officers to complete the pending inquires without delay, so that disciplinary action could be taken against corrupt officials. He also formed a monitoring committee for the speedy disposal of pending inquires.

Directors of Auqaf department and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.
