LHC CJ's directive to widow litigants, orphans

LAHORE: Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Mian Allah Nawaz, has directed the litigant widows,orphan children, and relatives of deceased persons to approach the concerned courts for early hearing of their cases.
The Chief Justice passed this directive in order to identify these cases for expeditious disposal.
The Chief Justice has taken this step in the light of the Chief Justices' Committee decision to dispose of certain special categories of cases within a specified timeframe.
The committee had decided that small disputes and cases of widows, orphan children and deceased persons should be disposed of within a period of one month.
The Committee had also decided that the family disputes, including cases of maintenance, dower, custody of minors and cases relating to ejectment from houses shall be disposed of by May 21, 2000.
