RECORDER REPORT

KARACHI: The Karachi port handled a total 68,915 tonnes of cargo, including 40,114 tonnes of import and 28,790 tonnes of export, during last 24 hours.

Of the total cargo handled, 38,158 tonnes was dry and 30,757 tonnes liquid cargo.

The ships due to arrive at port on Sunday are: Msc Ariane, Trade Fast, Umi Assure and Parinda Naree.

The ships expected to sail on Sunday are: Canadian Express, Chilham Castle and Ocean Line-2.

PORT QASIM

A cargo volume of 37,155 tonnes exclusively imports, comprising 7,192 tonnes edible oil, 10,640 tonnes wheat, 6,000 tonnes furnace oil, 6,032 tonnes chemicals and 7,291 tonnes iron ore was handled during last 24 hours.

Silver Star sailed on Saturday morning after discharging 10,623 tonnes chemicals.

Following vessels are currently at the outer anchorage: Agha-I, Deneo Gas, China Pride, Miraj and Fabian Schulte.

Fabian Shulte and Deneo Gas were expected to take berths at Qasim international container terminal and Engro Paktank Terminal of Port Qasim on Saturday.
