Fish farming training courses
LAHORE: The Punjab Fisheries Department has announced the schedule for training courses regarding fish farming for women and farmers. The purpose of these free of cost courses is to educate the people about the modern fish farming techniques. These course will be conducted at fisheries Research and Training Institute, Manawan. Fish nutrition course will commence from March 6 to 11, while a special course for women about cultureable and ornamental fish will commence from April 10 to 15.ÑAPP
'Scourage of narcotics'
ISLAMABAD: A special exhibition of posters on the scourge of narcotics by Afghan students will be held here at American Centre on March 6. Matric exam begins in Lahore today

KARACHI: Literary committee of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) will organise the launching ceremony of 'Faseelon Ke Udhar,' a book on women activists of Pakistan by Ms. Sheen Farrukh on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8. DADU: A five-year-old boy Fawad Husain died of electrocution in Mehar city on Thursday night. The boy was playing in front of his house and inadevertently touched a live wiere, lying on the road.ÑAPP

Campaign against smoke-emitting vehicles
RAWALPINDI: The traffic police are launching a campaign against smoke-emitting vehicles from Monday. According to traffic police special checking teams have been constituted including magistrates. During the campaign, the police said, not only heavy fines would be imposed but the smoke-emitting vehicles would also be impounded for a certain period. Later, the vehicles would be released to the owners on the condition that it would be properly turned within seven days.ÑAPP
20 butchers arrested
RAWALPINDI: The area magistrate arrested 20 butchers for selling sub-standard beef on hiked rates during an operation in the limits of police station Sadiqabad here on Friday. The arrests were made during a surprise visit of the area magistrate Changez Khan to Dhok Kala Khan, Shakrial, Jahaz Ground, Muslim Town and Charah Road localities.ÑAPP
