Ghinwa raps govt for

making tall promises,

resorting to downsizing

KARACHI: Ms Ghinwa Bhutto, chairperson of Pakistan Peoples Party (Shaheed Bhutto) said that the present rulers were making tall promises but their actions were entirely against the interests of common people.

Talking to PPI on Friday at 70 Clifton, Ms Ghinwa Bhutto said, the policies of the present rulers have rendered thousands of people jobless and industrial development has been badly affected.

Expressing dissatisfaction on law and order situation, she said, despite ban on arms display, there is no improvement in the law and order situation. Citing an example, she said that a doctor was kidnapped for ransom from her home constituency soon after the promulgation of the ordinance banning the display of arms, but since then the doctor has not been recovered from the dacoits.

She alleged that police itself was abusing the powers and was responsible for killing innocent people on the roads. She was also critical about the judicial system. When the bail of a police officer, involved in Murtaza Bhutto murder case, was canceled by the High Court, he fled from the court and the same was granted bail by the Supreme Court, while the government honoured him with the awards, she said.ÑPPI
