AJK govt working for backward areas uplift: Sultan

MUZAFFARABAD: AJK Prime Minister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary on Thursday claimed that his government was working under a comprehensive strategy to provide latest civic facilities to the masses of backward areas under the Chief Executive's poverty alleviation programme.

A press release issued by the prime minister's secretariat quoted Sultan Mehmood as telling the newsmen that development funds were being spent under a comprehensive planning and without any discrimination to any area.

All the departments concerned have been informed of the government's priorities in this connection, the statement said.

Claiming the welfare of the masses of liberated territory as his govt's priority, Sultan said his four-years old government was taking all possible steps.

Sultan said that the poverty eradication programme is being launched in all seven districts and development review meetings are being held to ensure maximum civic facilities to masses.

Sultan said he would fulfil all expectations which the masses have with his govt.
