Kashmir group formed in European parliament

Muzaffarabad: All Parties Friends of Kashmir Group has been formed in the European Parliament in Brussels and more than 20 members of labour, Labour Democrats and Conservative parties have joined it.

The formation of the group was announced by MP James Ellis in the meeting held on Kashmir in Brussels on Wednesday, chaired by AJK Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mehmood Choudhary, a fax message received here from Brussels says.

European MPs - James Ellis (Conservative), Garry Titley (Labour) and Lyze Lynn (Labour Democrats) - co-chaired the meeting.

More than 20 European MPs including Robert Sturoy, Robert Goodwill, Philip Bush Hill, Mathews, Terrisa Villier, Charles Tannock, David Bowe, Chris Davies, Richard corbet, Ms. Maccarthy, Peter skinner, Gienn Ford, Simon Murphy, Jean Cahbars, Carf Heatton Harris and others have registered their names as the members of the group.

Hundreds of activists belonging to the Europe-based Kashmir Freedom Group were present in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the AJK prime minister said the Indian army has been unleashing matchless region of terror in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and depicted the picture of Indian atrocities against the innocent masses and severe human rights violations .

Sultan said Kashmiris will never ever remain under Indian domain and they will continue their struggle till the achievement of the right to self determination.

Earlier, the European MPs received AJK Prime Minister warmly and he was taken to the meeting in a procession.

In the meeting, the members of the European Parliament decided to move a resolution in the parliament in which US President Bill Clinton would be asked to take Kashmir dispute with India during his forthcoming trip to South Asia.
