ECMMAP chief suggested barter trade with other countries
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Chairman, Engineering Components and Machinery Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (ECMMAP) Rehmatullah Javed, has suggested that the government should promote auto part sector through barter trade.
In a statement issued on Thursday, he proposed that Pakistan should purchase tea from Kenya against auto parts. Similarly Bangladesh is another country where this system could be introduced.
Supporting the demand of auto parts makers of giving rebate on exports of auto parts, he said that this would bring positive results.
He hoped that the government would continue their policies in consultation with the trade and industry
