Course on 'Environmental Education' from tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) will organise a three-day training course on 'Environmental Education' from March 30 to April 1, 2000.

The objective of the course is to enhance the skills of middle and upper-middle level managers from government, semi-government and private organisations. This training programme would help the participants to disseminate the acquired information to other organisations and communities that are relevant to Pakistan's Environment Programme, says a press release.

The course will cover an overview of the environment, eco-system and bio-diversity, role of education in conservation and sustainable development, historical background of environmental, community and environmental education, future trend in environmental, global issues, resources for environmental education and role of media in environmental education.
