HYDERABAD: The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Taluka Hyderabad has announced that the ban imposed on the movement of wheat within the revenue limits of Hyderabad Taluka under Section 144 Cr.P.C has been lifted with immediate effect.

Similarly, SDM Tando Allahyar has also lifted ban on the movement of wheat within the revenue limits of Tando Allahyar Sub-division. It may be pointed out here that the growers organisations such as Sindh Abadgar Board and Sindh Chamber of Agriculture have always opposed the inter-district ban on the movement of wheat.

They have claimed that due to ban, the growers could not get just price for their crops.

On the other hand, the district administrations have always been obliged to ban the movement of wheat by imposing Section 144 Cr. P.C to achieve the procurement targets of wheat.

According to knowledgeable sources, the ban has been lifted at the intervention of the Federal Government.
