Cotton policy in first week of next month

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Commerce has announced that Cotton Policy would be announced in the first week of April 2000.

The Ministry says the government has almost finalised the work on the policy after extensive consultations with the relevant stake holders, says a handout issued here on Monday.

The government had indicated that the Cotton Policy was to be announced by the end of March 2000, but its announcement is being delayed slightly due to the Chief Executive's current visit abroad.
