ATTOCK: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Attock foiled an attempt to smuggle charas to Lahore and arrested two Nigerians following recovery of contraband from their possession near Kalu Dab (Gondal) on Monday.

On a tip off that members of an international drug traffickers gang would try to smuggle huge quantity of narcotics to Punjab, Lt. Col. Shahid Hamid, Regional Director Anti-narcotics Force, Rawalpindi constituted a raiding party comprises Assistant Director Tahsil Dil Khan and Inspector Taimoor of ANF.

On checking they spotted two Nigerians with suspicious outlook. They arrested them and brought to Attock city for further interrogation.

During interrogation, the suspects Saadat Ali and Hameezi Jaffari confessed to the presence of narcotics in their bodies cavities. They were taken to District Headquarters Hospital Attock where 475 grams of charas concealed in 55 capsules was excreted through medical process.

It is for the first time that smugglers used capsules to transport charas while in the past this method was used to carry refined heroin only.ÑAPP
