NHA board reviews work on highway projects

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Executive Board of National Highway Authority (NHA) held here on Sunday reviewed construction, extension and maintenance projects of the national highways throughout the country.

Chairman NHA, Maj Gen Viqar ul Haq Khan Khalid (Retd) while presiding over the meeting at the head-office of the Authority said that role of highways in the prosperity of a country is well-recognised.

He said it is, therefore, imperative for the construction experts to work with zeal and dedication.

Chairman NHA also urged the experts to remove technical hindrance in the way of highway construction.

He emphasised upon taking advantages of the international experiences and employ latest techniques in the construction of highways.

The meeting also reviewed highway projects in Balochistan and administrative matters of Pakistan Motorway and National Highways Authority. APP
