holds presentation

on Wednesday

KARACHI: The British Council has invited owners/managers of small and medium enterprises to a presentation by visiting management consultant from UK Asgar Sheriff on Wednesday March 29.

"The European Community (EC) is encouraging groups of business people in Europe to collaborate with similar groups in the sub-continent for mutual benefits. Several business networks in the UK are already taking advantage of this opportunity.

Asgar Sheriff and his colleagues in UK are in the process of setting up networking groups comprising of UK business people of the sub-continent origin and is hoping to encourage setting up of similar networking groups in Pakistan, starting with Karachi.

The purpose of networking amongst the various groups is to exchange ideas, create better understanding and eventually to develop trade using e-commerce, video conferencing, trade visits, etc.

Owners and managers of small and medium firms who have products to sell and/or want to source and procure from the UK will hear Asgar explain the wider vision, discuss the way forward and also initiate setting up a network in Karachi."

Asgar Sheriff a business consultant and senior lecturer in business at the UK's Staffordshire University is in Karachi on the invitation of the British Council to lead on a 2-day workshop on managing and sustaining SMEs starting Thursday, March 30.ÑPR
