Mengal meets Irshad

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice Irshad Hassan Khan and Balochistan Governor Amirul Malik Mengal met here on Saturday and discussed matters relating to expeditious disposal of cases and toning up of the judicial administration.

Mengal is a former Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court who sought retirement instead of accepting elevation to the Supreme Court for personal reasons last year. He took over the Governorship of his province at the suggestion of Chief Executive Pervez Musharraf in October last.

The governor, according to a press release of the Supreme Court "Appreciated the decisions taken by the Chief Justices Committee and offered his whole hearted support and cooperation".
