KBP demands action against corrupt officials

LAHORE: Kissan Board Pakistan Secretary-General Mohammad Ilyas has demanded of the government to tale action against the corrupt officials of Seed Certification wing of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In a statement on Saturday, he said that investigations should be carried out against the officers, who accorded approval of the varieties of substandard seeds by taking bribe in the past.

He said that 'Ehtesab Bureau' must take up the cases of Vehari district, where a former MNA in collaboration with some employees of the Punjab Seed Corporation, provided adulterated seeds.
