32.9 pc rise in
carpets exports
RECORDER REPORT
ISLAMABAD: Carpet exports during the first eight months of this fiscal year increased by 32.9 percent.
During July-February 1999-2000, carpets worth $154.187 million (Rs 7.97 billion) were exported, while in the same period last fiscal carpet exports fetched $116.017 million (Rs 5.79 billion).
There was 32.1 percent improvement in quantity, 37.68 percent in rupee terms, and 32.9 percent in dollar terms.
