Egyptian
cultural troupe
meets Cyprian
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Culture and Sports Derick Cyprian on Friday said Pak-Egypt relations were deep rooted and Pakistani nation was proud of it.
He was talking to the members of Egyptian cultural troupe that called on the Minister here, led by Dr. Abdullah Munam.
"Pakistani nation is proud of long-standing and fraternal relationship with Egypt," the minister said.
He said, stretched over centuries, the Egyptian civilisation is not a source of pride for Egyptian nation only but also for other nations.
In-depth love and affection between Pakistan and Egyptian also has its basis in alike cultures of both the countries, Cyprian said.
With the exchange of cultural troupe, the already existing ties will further strengthen, he maintained.
The visiting troupe thanked the Pakistan government and people for warm welcome and love extended to them.
Pakistani nation's love for their Egyptian brothers was exemplary, Munam said.
Dr. Mehmood-us-Saeed, Egyptian Ambassador to Pakistan and Ghulam Rasool, DG, Pakistan National Council of the Arts were also present on the occasion.ÑAPP
