Another 13 PML workers bailed out

FAISALABAD: Local Magistrate, Liaquat Ali Chatha has accepted another bail application of 13 PML workers, who were arrested by Gulberg Police under Section 16 MPO & 188 PPC before Eid-ul-Azha.

These PML workers were booked for participation in the Divisional PML Workers Convention held at Bambeno Cinema, presided by the Mohtarma Kalsoom Nawaz wife of deposed Prime Minister on March 13, 2000. The magistrate also ordered to file bail bonds of Rs 50,000 each for release of arrested PML workers.

During the arguments, Rana Mohammed Azhar Advocate, former President District Bar Association Faisalabad said that Gulberg Police had registered a case against more than 400 workers but there were no criteria for identification that whether the arrested persons had attended the convention or not. All of them were lifted from their houses and non of them was nabbed at the spot, he added. Mian Arif Javed Advocate and Muhammed Javed Awan Advocate also participated in the arguments.

Those bailed out by the court include Sheikh Amer, Khuwaja Mohammed Shahid, Mohammed Yasin Sheikh, Aurangzab, Sheikh Mohammed Shahid, Mohammed Asif, Mohammed Abdullah, Tariq Mehmood Ansari, Mohammed Shafiq Ansari, Tariq Nadeem, Sabir Ali, Tajamal Hussain, and Malik Mohammed Ramzan.

Meanwhile, 18 arrested PML workers have been released from District Jail Faisalabad, here on Friday, in accordance with acceptance of the first bail application.
