Hesco relaxes
rules for clearing
bills

SUKKUR: Chief Executive Hesco, Brig Mohammad Ali said that Hesco was trying its best to provide better service to the consumers.
Addressing an open kutchery in the Circuit House on Thursday morning he said the consumers have been offered simple procedure for getting their bills cleared and new connection. He asked the people to clear their bills regularly. He said Wapda would provide every possible assistance for clearing Wapda dues in easy instalments. The fee for new connections could also be paid in instalments, he added.
He further said that SDOs of Wapda had also been delegated necessary powers with the sole object to provide facilities to the people at their door-step.
The electricity consumers belonging to Sukkur, Khairpur and Ghotki districts presented their complaints regarding excess and wrong among billings, new connections and transformers and other problems pertaining to Wapda.
On a complaint of a villager of Habib Soomro village of district Ghotki and village Lothi of district Sukkur, the Hesco chief assured provision of transformers for both village shortly.
The Chief Executive issued on-the-spot orders for redessal of genuine problems and the Wapda authorities of Sukkur and Ghotki districts, were asked to open special counters immediately for correction of electricity bills, their instalments and provision of new electricity connections to the people of the districts concerned.
The kutchery was attended among others by Hesco Officers of Sukkur, Ghotki and Khairpur Districts.
