ISLAMABAD: A comprehensive plan for contractual appointment in various government departments and organisations has been chalked out.

This was stated by the Additional Secretary Establishment Division, Mirza Hamid Hassan while talking to APP on Wednesday.

Giving details about the plan which is being implemented within a couple of days, Mirza said the contract hiring will only be made through Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).

He said according to procedures, being adopted soon, the vacancies will be announced through press by the FPSC, which will adopt a similar procedure, being adopted by it for the hiring of the regular employees.

About the terms and conditions for the posts to be filled on contract basis, he said FPSC for a period of two years or less will announce the vacancy/vacancies after deciding the terms to be offered on post-to-post basis.

"Only suitable and appropriate persons will be hired through an open competition being adopted by the FPSC," he said.

In case of requirement of a specific post by any government department beyond two years, FPSC has been empowered to take decision after assessing the authenticity of the requisition.ÑAPP
