Akbari Mandi not much active

LAHORE: Sluggish trading continued to prevail on Akbari Mandi, on Wednesday.

Overall turnover of the Mandi remained low as only a small number of customers visited the market. However, some activity was witnessed at sugar stalls during the morning session.

Dealers said that sugar prices showed an upward trend. The main reason of this upward trend is stated to be low supply of sugar in the market as mill owners are releasing limited quantity of sugar in the market" said Mohammad Akmal, a Akbari Mandi dealer. No significant change was reported in the rates of other essentials.
