RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Mike Oghiadomhe, Deputy Governor, Edo state of Nigeria, has suggested that Pakistani and Nigerian investors set up joint ventures for manufacturing agricultural products, cement and ceramics, and for food and fruit processing.
During the visit of 8 member Nigerian trade delegation to the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) on Wednesday, he said Nigeria has a lot of experience to share with Pakistan, particularly in the field of agriculture. Nigeria is the main trading partner of all West African states and Edo state is the gateway to Nigeria and thus is the centre of all economic activities.
Shireen Ghory, Director (Investment Promotion and Facilities), gave an audio-visual briefing on EPZA, KEPZ and its projects. She invited Nigerian investors to set up industrial units in the existing KEPZ and other upcoming zones in the country and also offered 100 acres of land adjacent to KEPZ for single country zone solely for Nigerian investors and offered expertise of EPZA in setting up of such zones in Nigeria.
