MCB seminar on Riba

ISLAMABAD: The Muslim Commercial Bank Limited organized a one-day seminar on "An Overview of Supreme Court's Judgement on Elimination of Riba" on Monday.

Chief guest Khalid Niaz Khawaja, head of Human Resource Management (HRM) and Legal Affairs Group MCB traced the history on the issue of Riba and quoted the related articles of the constitution.

According to a press release of MCB issued on Monday, Prof. Dr. Sayyid Tahir D.G. International Institute of Islamic Economics, International Islamic University Islamabad expressed his views on the judgement's practical implications on the banking and financial sector.

Mansha Ahmed, Head of Recruitment and Training Division, MCB and Mujibullah Sardar, principal MCB Staff College Lahore also spoke on the occasion.

The MCB has already organized two seminars on Riba at Lahore and Karachi.
