UN award for Farid Rahman

ISLAMABAD: The NWFP Minister for Finance and Planning and Development Farid Rahman will be given a UN Award at a ceremony for his meritorious services for the United Nations, where he served for more than two decades in important positions. Before joining the government, he retired from the UN service as Senior Adviser to the Unicef Executive Director. He also served as Regional Director for Middle East and Unicef Representative in a number of countries including China, Sudan and Sri Lanka. The award shall be given by Unicef Representative for Pakistan Stephen H. Umemoto, on behalf of the Unicef Executive Director.ÑPPI
