Airlines awards ceremony today

KARACHI: Adviser to Chief Executive on National Affairs and Information Javed Jabbar will be the chief guest at the 29th Pakistani and 6th International Airlines awards ceremony to be held here on Thursday.

The exhibition is an annual feature of the National Council of Culture and Arts (NCCA).

The function will be presided over by Sindh Law Minister, Barrister Shahida Jamil.

At the ceremony awards for the year 1998 will be presented on foreign calendars, diaries, posters and books.

Area managers of foreign airlines will also receive international NCCA awards on print material on exhibit.

Local and foreign bank, Pakistani printers, advertising agencies and multi-national companies have also sent their nominations for NCCA awards.

Javed Jabbar, during his 2-day stay in the city, will be the chief guest at Emirates award ceremony and KDA labour union conference at Civic Centre on Thursday.

He will also appear in the "meet the press" programme of Karachi Press Club on Friday. APP
