Ibrahim denies signing accord to hand over Nas to Pakistan
MUZAFFARABAD: AJK President Mohammad Ibrahim Khan has dispelled the impression that, he has signed the Karachi Agreement to hand over the Northern Areas (Gilgit Baltistan) to Pakistan and said "I have never traded the people living in this area nor violated their basic rights."
Talking to a 22-member delegation of Northern Areas here on Tuesday, he said Kashmir including Gilgit Baltistan is a legal entity and people living in either part of state are part and parcel.
The AJK President said with the construction of Karakuram the importance of the Northern Areas has increased and it became strategical important for Pakistan. This rout has put positive impacts on the economy and trade of Pakistan and it linked Pakistan with China, a time-tested friend of Pakistan, he added.
Ibrahim said that strong and stable Pakistan is guaranteed for peace and stability in the region and a guarantee for the liberation of Kashmir from Indian clutches.
He said the people of whole Jammu and Kashmir state including Northern Areas consider Pakistan their ultimate destination and accession to Pakistan is article of faith for every Kashmiri.
The AJK President strongly condemned the Indian aggressive designs and said that India in frustration has launched a ruthless aggression in occupied Kashmir and on the AJK villages.
He called upon world community to impress upon India to save Kashmiri people from its genocidal policies. PPI
