HYDERABAD: Wapda Special Magistrate Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, Sub-Divisional Officer Hafiz Ubaid-ur-Rehman and staff of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) arrested five people who were involved in electricity pilferage in different areas.

According to a press release, these consumers were caught red-handed and have been heavily penalised.

Executive Engineer (Operation) Mohammad Rafique Abbasi has warned the power consumers of Phuleli division to clear their dues as soon as possible in order to avoid fine and other legal action.

He said that if any consumer was found pilfering electricity the law would take its own course against him.

He however advised those consumers, who had somehow managed to increase the load or pressure of power, to decrease it within one week, otherwise, they would be subjected to legal action.
