LAHORE: Fish meat is a useful source of nutrition, which not only provides proteins and minerals, but protects human body from various diseases also, said principal of the Fisheries Research and Training Institute, Manawan, here on Tuesday.

Addressing the certificates distribution ceremony among the participants of a training course held on the topic of 'Nutritive value of Fish' at the institute, Dr. Imtiaz Begum Minhas said in order to create awareness among fish farmers about usefulness of fish meat, such training courses on scientific basis were necessary.

The course was organised by the Punjab Fisheries Department. Later on, Principal Chemist, Ashraf Ali distributed certificates among the participants of the course.
