Clinton handed

over petition on

behalf of Kashmiris

WASHINGTON: President Bill Clinton has been handed over a petition on behalf of Kashmiris under Indian occupation and those living elsewhere in the world during a White House meeting on the President's 'One America Initiative.'

Taking advantage of the occasion an invitee, Dr. Sayed Mohammad Saeed, himself a Kashmiri from the Valley, who is Secretary-General of Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), handed over the two-page petition to the President when he came round to shake hands with him. The formal presentation of the petition is due to take place on March 17 following a rally in front of the white House.ÑAPP
