ADB team discusses proposals about women's uplift

LAHORE: A Mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on proposed 'Non-formal education for Rural Women Project' on Tuesday discussed proposals relating to empowerment and uplift of women, specially in the rural areas, with the Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Development, Shaheen Atiq-ur-Rehman.

The delegation, which called on her, here today, also discussed in detail the proposed plan of project of Non-formal Education for Rural Women and assured all out support for the project. The poverty alleviation programme also came under discussion during the talks.
