Girl killed, 16 hurt in Indian firing on AJK village

Muzaffarabad: A child was killed and 16 people including four women, and two minor girls were wounded on Sunday night in continued Indian shelling on the civilian population in Hajera, Tetapani, Jura, and Kel sectors of AJK officials said on Monday.
A minor girl identified as Aamna Koasir, 6, daughter of Mohammed Munavir was killed while her mother Tasveer Bibi, 33, and younger brother Makhdoom, 4, were seriously injured when an Indian mortar shell hit their home in Batal village. Four others identified as Tahira, daughter of Noor Ahmed, 16, her mother, Zameer Begum, 42, Razia Fazal, daughter of Mohammed Fazal and Ahmed Nawaz, son of Mohammed Nawaz, all residents of Jhavra village of Tetapani sector were injured by Indian bullets fired from across the LoC.
In Tetrinot sub-sector of subdivision Hajira, the Indian army targeted a passenger bus coming from Tetrinot. The bus conductor Abdul Waheed, son of Khan Mohammed was injured.
A minor girl identified as Nani, daughter of Shernawaz, Gulnaz, wife of Mohammed Fazal, and Basharat, son of Khan Mohammed were also wounded in Indian shooting from across the LoC.
Officials said four young men and a minor girl identified as Mohammed Naseem, son of Muzaffar Khan, 18, Mohammed son of Mangta, 17, Mohammed Hussian son of Sherali and Nusrat Bibi, daughter of Muzaffar Khan were critically wounded when Indian army shelled Flakan, Ashkot, Bandi, Mirpura and Barian villages of Jura sector. Another civilian was also wounded by Indian shelling in Kel sector of Neelum valley.
All the injured were admitted in nearby hospitals.
