Fine supervisory training vital for quality products

LAHORE: In order to improve the quality of national products and exports, a close liasion between the vocational training institutes and industrial associations is a must. Vocational training institutes should consult relevant trade and industrial associations prior to devising syllabus of any trade.
These views were expressed by the Lahore Township Industries Association (LTIA), Chairman, Iqbal Baig, during his visit to the Government Vocational Training Institute Township here on Monday.
Baig stated that quality supervisory training was essential to prepare high quality products for foreign markets. He also announced a donation of Rs. 50,000 for the institute due to its excellent performance.
Earlier, Principal of the Institute, Col. Wajid Ali (Retd), informed Iqbal Baig that their institute was preparing young skilled workers for five industrial trades. He disclosed that now it was being expanded to nine trades.
