KARACHI: Emirates SkyCargo has achieved another landmark by introducing airport-to-door cargo service in Pakistan. In collaboration with Gerrys Express, its service provider in Pakistan, Emirates has made special arrangements for delivery of shipments booked on any part of its network to the consignees' doorstep anywhere in the country.

SkyCargo is already offering this facility in UAE, UK, Germany, Malta, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines.

Commenting on the new service Emirates Pakistan Cargo Manager F D Malik said: "The introduction of airport-to-door delivery facility in Pakistan is one of many initiatives taken by the airline to provide its customers with the most effective and efficient option for cargo delivery".

"This product has been designed to meet the growing demand for value-added services by customers in Pakistan. Under the service, Emirates SkyCargo also arranges for custom clearance of the consignment", Malik added.

SkyCargo has facility of cargo automation system, branded SkyChain, which allows anyone, anywhere to check airline schedules and cargo space capacity, trace and track consignments and make bookings using either the Internet or an email facility.
