Business volume improves on Jodia Bazar
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Volume of business improved on the Jodia Bazar, where trading activity was seen large on Thursday.
Variations were in Kirana items, chemicals and dyes while the rest of the commodities were done at the previous prices.
Kirana items: Black pepper dropped Rs 600 to Rs 13,400, black pepper from Singapore shed Rs 300 to Rs 13,400, same item from Ceylon dropped Rs 1,000 to Rs 13,000 big cardamom conceded Rs 400 to Rs 17,500, cloves was quoted at Rs 12,000, Copra Ceylon lost Rs 300 to Rs 1,900, copra Seychelles dropped Rs 500 to Rs 2,000, dry ginger from China dropped Rs 250 to Rs 2,450 and dry ginger from India shed Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,200.
Chemicals: Formic acid China rose by 20 paisa to Rs 46.20, formic acid Pakistani was quoted down at Rs 44, and from Germany it rose by 40 paisa to Rs 48.40, Sulphonic acid China was up by 60 paisa to Rs 72.60.
Dyes: Bases China blue BB retreated by Rs 10 to Rs 670, China Tenjin Red 12 B shed Rs 3 to Rs 115. Basic colours Aramine O retreated by Rs 4 to Rs 110, basic brown lost Rs 2 to Rs 78 and Malachite green shed Rs 2 to Rs 136. Acid dyes from India Green V gained Rs 10 to Rs 240. Sulphur dyes China sulphur 501 dropped 50 paisa to Rs 33.50, Sulphur BRN lost Rs 2 to Rs 82, sulphur yellow brown 5G lost Rs 4 to Rs 56 and sulphur black 522 quoted at Rs 35.
