HYDERABAD: A local advocate and former legal adviser of Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) Sajid Bin Wajid has been arrested vide FIR No 01, 2000 under Section 406 of P.P.C (criminal breach of trust).

According to details, the services of Sajid Bin Wajid as legal adviser were terminated by the HDA on June 11, 1999 and he was asked to return the computer and case files to the Authority. However, he reportedly declined to return HDAs property and the matter was reported to the secretary, local government.

The secretary, vide his letter dated December 28, 1999, directed the incharge civic centre to take legal action against the former legal adviser and an FIR was lodged at GOR police station by Saeed Ahmed Khan S/o Waheed Khan.

The lawyer was arrested on Friday when he visited the HDA's office.

A source in the HDA told this correspondent that the HDA had suffered huge losses due to the double crossing of the former legal adviser.
