Lahore: The Punjab government has released 450 jail inmates at the eve of Eid ul Fitr.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, provincial minister for law and parliament, human rights and minorities, Dr. Khalid Ranjha, said that the people could not enjoy real justice in the society prior to enforcement of the equity-based system.

He said that humanity was the biggest religion in the world. The government, therefore, realised that the people, who had not committed such big offense, are no more required to be kept in jail.
