RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: The Sindh Town Planning Department has decided to withdraw the condition imposed by the Karachi Building Control Authority and other utility organisations on the applicants for utility connections to their flats/housing units to present completion/occupancy certificate of the housing projects along with application for utility services connections.
The decision was taken at a meeting on Friday held at the HTP. The HTP secretary and a delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) also discussed matters relating to up-dating building bye-laws and zoning regulations, regularisation of sealed buildings, implementation of government directives for reduction in registration fee to 5 percent and approval of building plans under one window operation.
The ABAD delegation included Chairman ABAD MMI Hussain, chairman Southern Region Zahid Ali Rizvi and Shabbir Qasim. The secretary of the HTP was assisted by the DG KDA.
