Dept heads asked to expedite work on developmental schemes

FAISALABAD: Divisional Commissioner Faisalabad Major Iqbal Ahmad Raja (Rtd) has directed heads of various nation building departments to expedite work on the on-going schemes so as to ensure their in time completion.

Chairing a meeting here on Thursday, he reviewed the physical schemes of Annual Development Programme. He directed the officers to ensure judicious spending on development schemes. "They should exploit their full potential for in time completion of development schemes besides discouraging use of sub-standard and poor quality material", he said.

He further said strict action will be taken against the incompetent and irresponsible employees. "I may pay a surprise visit to any development scheme", he said and hoped that they will personally supervise these schemes besides keeping a strict eye on the subordinate staff.

"All relevant informations, maps, and records etc. should be available on site so that they could explain every detail of the project without any hesitation or problem", he said. The meeting was told that as many as 362 sachems involving Rs. 3140.852 million are in different stages of completion in Faisalabad division.
