Coal procurement bills being paid regularly: Wapda

LAHORE: A spokesman of Wapda said here on Thursday that the current bills for the procurement of coal were being paid regularly after due verification of the power station authorities.

In a press statement, the spokesman said that Wapda had paid Rs. 64.157 million to Lakhra Coal Development Company during December last.

The spokesman also said that Wapda also paid Rs 64.157 million on December 6, 1999, Rs. 25.747 million on December 21, 1999, and Rs. 19.677 million on December 29.

He said that the news regarding the settlement of company's dues were not correct.
