licence stamps

to be available

from 15th

KARACHI: The stamps for arms and driving licence will now be available at all the post offices with effect from January 15.

This was announced by the Postmaster General, Ahsan Basir Shaikh, here on Thursday.

He maintained that the for some technical sessions the year 2000 could not be printed, hence the delay in supply.

Shakih stated that in case of arms licences, month of January is the grace period and as such all the arms licences valid up to December 31, 1999 can be renewed up to January 31, 2000 without any fine.

However, in case of driving licences grace period of which expired on any date between January 1 to 15, 2000 and fine has become due, it is notified for such licence holders that no fine will be charged.ÑAPP
