16 police officials

KARACHI: Sindh police has dismissed the services of 16 police officials including an ASI on the charges of money extoration from grass and hay trucks in Dadu district, it is officially stated here on Thursday.

These police officials were caught redhanded by the Kotri ASP last month while extorting money from grass and hay trucks on Super Highway and National Highway.

These are ASI Qadir Bux, head constables Rasool Bux Lashari, Ali Mohammad, constables Mumtaz Ali, Mukhtiar Ali, Ghulam Sarwar, Mohammad Aachar, Zahid Hussain, Ghulam Rasool, Munir Ahmed, Mir Mohammad, Gul Sher, Asghar Ali, Sikandar Ali, Mohammad Hashim and Zulfikar Ali.

They were placed under suspension for money extortion and departmental action.

After the departmental inquiry and other necessary formalities, they were found guilty of the crime and their services were terminated accordingly.

The Kotri DSP has been asked to register the case against these police officials under the relevant laws.ÑAPP
