Donation for blinds

KARACHI: A donation of 25 white canes and 100 pairs of clothes have been donated by a business group for distribution among the needy blinds. The consignment was handed over by Abdul Sattar Khan, Chairman of Artificial Leather and Allied Dealers' Group, to Begum Nadira Aftab Nabi for onward distribution among the deserving blind people. He also presented a shield to Begum Nadira in recognition of her services towards the cause of the needy people.ÑAPP

Appeal to regularise contract doctors

THATTA: The President, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Thatta, Dr Dawood Hilayo has expressed his concern over the non reinstatement of contract doctors, sacked from service some 17 months back. In a statement here on Tuesday, the PMA-(Thatta) office-bearers regretted that this has largely effected the masses belonging to remote areas, being denied of quality medical services. They appealed to the quarter concerned to adopt a sympathetic view and regularise all contract doctors besides ensuring their regular salary and relevant facilities.ÑAPP
