Car snatched at gunpoint

RAWALPINDI: Three armed men snatched a car after dragging the owner out at gunpoint on ever busy sixth road on Tuesday afternoon.

Syed Saghiruddin, Production Manager of Dawn Bread, had slowed down at a speed-breaker near Passport Office when three men appeared in front of the car, forcing it to stop.

One of them brandished a pistol at Saghiruddin, another threatened him with an iron fist while yet another dragged him out.

The men then got into the vehicle, a Suzuki Mehran, No. IDJ 7719, and sped off. The car was taken in less than a minute, the victim told the New Town Police.

A motorcyclist coming from behind the car took the victim to a nearby traffic police official and message was relayed over wireless about the car snatching but in vain.ÑAPP
