Bid to smuggle
drugs foiled
PESHAWAR: Kohat Customs on Monday frustrated drugs smuggling attempt and recovered 61 kg hashish and 44 kg opium from a vehicle at Kotal check-post, Kohat. They arrested driver of the vehicle.
According to Customs Superintendent of Kohat check-post Sardar Ali and Deputy Superintendent Mumtaz Khan during routine checking, 61 kg hashish and 44 kg opium was seized from a car No FDL 8423 coming from tribal area of Darra Adam Khel.
The contraband were concealed in secret cavities of the car, estimated cost of which is stated to in million of dollar in the international market.
The seized goods were destined for down-country for onward transportation abroad.
A case has been registered against the accused.ÑAPP
